Aaron Cox

Aaron Cox

Aaron Cox lives in Southern California, where his interest in art led him first to an early career in airbrushing, and then into the tattoo industry. Aaron started painting with airbrush when he was thirteen, believing that this skill would bring him closer to his love for motorcycles. He airbrushed on canvas and t-shirts, whatever he could get his hands on. At 15, he took a job at an airbrushing shop and within a year, he was teaching classes to others. It was not long before his skill in airbrushing opened doors into tattoo artwork. His love for the American Traditional art stole Aaron away. He found that trading canvas for skin brought instant artistic gratification. While Aaron appreciates a variety of artistic style and preference, he is very happy in his present career. [more …]

While every art medium offers something different, Aaron believes that tattooing offers something unique and requires special skill. Tattooing provides a venue for art that is unique in that it involves other people, freedom of artistic expression, and allows Aaron to work regularly with his favorite style of art, American Traditional.

Surrounded by friends, and supported by his family, Aaron has worked the past several years at Newport Tattoo in Newport Beach. He opened his own shop in Old Towne Orange last year.

Even if I don’t have a ton of money, I enjoy going to work … if my life stayed like this every day, it’d certainly be enough. -Aaron Cox

Paul Reza

Paul Reza

Paul Reza is native to Orange County. He grew up in Old Towne Orange and became an artist while living in the heart of Custom Car Culture. Being around cars and bikes from childhood has greatly influenced Paul. He learned early the mechanics and artistic style of piecing together period-authentic cars. Paul loves the aspect of bringing a car back to life in the present, a symbol from another era. As an artist, Paul experimented with different kinds of expression and began tattooing with his childhood friend during high school. He remembers practicing various techniques on friends. In 2003 Paul began tattooing professionally, and while he prides himself on a wide variety of style, he prefers the American Traditional tattoo artwork. [more …]

Paul is an artist. He has found expression through drawing and art from early in his childhood. By the time he was a teenager, he was building cars and helping his dad show them. Tattoo art became a natural extension of Paul’s interests. He loves to create art that becomes part of another person, their life and story. He loves that it’s permanent, and considers his specialty in creating bright, bold, long lasting art that ages well.

In 2008, Paul opened a tattoo shop in his own stomping grounds. At the heart of Orange County, Old Towne Orange Tattoo Parlor makes its way. In the future, Paul is making plans to travel and experience tattoo art and culture around the world.

Everything’s good; I love it all! -Paul Reza
